Buenos Aires, March 22 (NA) -- A 51-year-old man was killed this morning after a fight at the door of a nightclub in the Buenos Aires town of San Miguel, and four "bouncers" have been detained. Police sources revealed to the Argentine News Agency that the incident occurred at the "Sutton" bar, located between Las Heras and Paunero streets. According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m., when the victim, identified as Alexis Oscar Rogers, arrived at the place with two other people (a 23-year-old young man, who would be his son, and another 46-year-old man) with the intention of entering. Upon being denied entry, as the club was closing, an argument began with private security personnel, which escalated into a fight on the sidewalk. During the confrontation with the venue's security staff, a 51-year-old man was beaten by the staff, an incident that is under judicial investigation; he then fell to the ground and died. The initial report on the victim's body determined that the death could have been caused by mechanical asphyxiation, so the arrest of four "bouncers" aged 22, 36, 49, and 50, respectively, was ordered. The intervening prosecutor's office (UFI 21 of Malvinas Argentinas) ordered the apprehension of four members of the bar's security staff for their alleged involvement in the events. Meanwhile, the establishment is closed and the Buenos Aires Provincial Scientific Police is at the scene.
